Lessons

How would you want your life to be?

What would you do to achieve it?
Are you willing to change your lifestyle or habit to a meaning life?
How would you contribute to the society?
How would you dedicate yourself to make a better world?

Lessons is the 1st book, or kind of like a biography of Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen, who is famous not only due to she's the ex-girlfriend of Leonardo Dicaprio, but also her fame in the model industry. She is one of the famous Victoria Secret's angels and recognized in the trend "Curve is Back" by Vogue magazine. I am impressed by the depth of meaning it conveys and how organized of this book is, in terms of the structure. Gisele mentioned the reason she wrote this book is she wants to left some meaning lessons for her 3 kids - the eldest kid who is her husband Tom Brady and his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan (American actress casting Helen Wick from John Wick) co-parenting with.

Okay enough for the sandal, though it's always juicy for the celebrity gossip news and catch the eyeball of the public. Back to the content, the book itself is deeply meaningful - in a sense it describes the early life of Gisele becoming the supermodel. I'm impressed of how dedicated she is in her personal life. She worked in her teens and almost has no holidays, as we know models need to travel around the world and being criticized about her face and body. She truly deserves what she enjoy today. Plus I admire her dedication to contribute in the environment - she is willing to utilize her celebrity influence in making a better world. Not just being rich and famous. She is authentic and with a beautiful heart, which is a true beauty. I really like her a lot.

Some of the chapter heading from the book. Take a glimpse and highly recommend to read it thru.

"Life unfolds in unexpected way. The only constant is change"

Quote from book, which is so true. If we stay in the same position for the whole time, we can never grow. Step out is the only way out.

Can we live without our mobile phones?

Can we disconnect from our cell phones?

Just something that caught my eye

We're way too much addictive to our mobiles these days, whenever in the morning commuting, lunch with friends, before sleep, wherever on railways, school, office and whatever occasion like traveling, working, social gathering, you always see people keep playing with their phone - slouching in a bad way with their digital gadget, sometimes they are suffered from sickness with fingers, hands or shoulder. That's how mobile phone influenced us in a negative way.

Never let these mobile gadget to take control your life, especially social life. Try to minimize the bad influence by simply disconnect from electricity life - it can be achieved in many ways.

One of the most effective way - inspired by my man on the moon is to put your smart phone into your drawer. Simply isolated yourself and your phone. It works with me perfectly well cos it stops myself keep slouching to the phone like whatsapp or facebook for no reason. Another efficient way to stop yourself from using too much phone is to go traveling - I know it sounds way too much and not easy to do it daily, but it's another fabulous way to stay away from phones. The point is to engage in some activity which you devoted yourself in like sports, do your hobby which occupy both of your hands like playing piano, hiking, swimming.

Modern people are too obsessive to their phone. I have so much respect to Steve Jobs but the advance of technology of iPhone has a phenomenal impact to our lives in a sense that we couldn't imagine nor realize. This is somehow pathetic to see couples are using smartphone in a romantic candle light dinner instead of talking to each other.

Why does people are so much indulged in the virtual / digital lives like social media? I wish our life is like facebook. Or people mobile shop online too often by Amazon, taobao and too much entertainment can be enjoyed with our phones like games, movie, live video... But are these really more interesting than face-to-face interaction? I really doubt it. This is beyond an argument.

How can we live into a basic, no internet, no work emails, no social media, no mobile phone... Imagine how life can be simple when people have no phones. I beg our lives would be thousands time more happier than now. Let's go back to the essential.

Can we not use our smart phone everyday? Can we shut down our phone for at least one single day? To let yourself to take a little break from technology? You will see how much different your life can be. Trust me, you'll experience the positivity and happiness.

There's no harm and cost to do it. Isn't it?

Try today!

The Last Days

What's the end of your life chapter?

Can you imagine how will your story end?

We all have a script in our lives - since the day you're born, you live and grow up, go to school, work, get married, have kids, some may divorce and then die. Is it a must to follow this social norms?

Just wondering how will our time before death will be without all the social expectation, live your life for yourselves, not for your lovers / family / friends, not to live for expectation of others. Just do what you want, follow your dream, live your daydream.

Step out.

You live only once.

Just follow your heart.

Til the end of your life.

Man On The Moon

Finding your man on the moon sometimes is like wandering in the outer space.

It might takes long time to get there, if you're fortunate enough, you'll reach your destination.
You feel yourself completed once you find him, like finding the right piece of puzzle to complement your life. But you may regret why you have wasted some time on those passerby. Or I should say it's never too late as long as you get there - Everything happens for a reason. It's part of life journey.

After all, you're just hypnotized by his destiny.

Have you found your my man on the moon?

Britney Spears - Man On The Moon

Dark mascara dripping down my face
Only fools could ever feel this way
Send my message into outer space
Wonder if it's gonna float your way

I can't compete with the stars in the sky
I'm invisible, invisible
I open the window to clear out my mind
But it's difficult, so difficult

Houston, I know there's a problem here
Must be a hole in the atmosphere
Baby, I wanna be closer to love

Patience, darling, wait for the night
Darkness comes and love comes alive
I've been right here dreaming of you
Waiting for my man on the moon
Moon
